Chicago Theater Funds Entire Production Using Zaarly

Chicago’s Filament Theatre took 36 hours to fund and produce and entire production leveraging only the Zaarly marketplace.

Zaarly is the revolutionary buy and sell goods and services using a web or mobile-based application.  Both sellers and buyers post what they want, how much they’ll pay and when they want it.  The post is viewed by community members throughout the area and can be acted upon using the Zaarly secure response system.

Tim McDonald, Chicago team leader for Zaarly says that Zaarly is the perfect fit for a community driven organization, like the Filament.
“We’re both community oriented.  Zaarly doesn’t work if you don’t have people in the local community wanting to participate in it. We got our name Zaarly from the old world Moroccan bazaar environment where it was more of a buyer-driven marketplace, and Filament is looking at ways to bring back the traditional old world theater with the sense of community involvement.”

On August 24, the community theater embarked upon the 36-hour project by setting up shop on Milwaukee Ave and choosing a play title from those submitted by Zaarly members.

During play development, production staff posted items needed to complete the play. This includes nearly everything–from costumes and meals for the cast to props.

Julie Ritchey, Filament’s artistic director says that she hopes the process will marry the community with the creative process.

“Anyone strolling by can come in and hang out,” she says. “If you bring an item to lend us, we’d love for you to stay and be part of the process.”  All Zaarly marketplace contributors receive a free ticket to the show and admission to the Filament’s season launch party following the show.

What Professionals Use to Recover Microsoft Office Passwords

What Professionals Use to Recover Microsoft Office Passwords
The Microsoft Office Application Suite has dominated the market for many years. The suite offers a complete set of tools for the most demanding computer users, but there is one essential tool missing.
Microsoft Office documents can be protected against unauthorized access and saved with a password. While these documents are surely protected against unauthorized use, what about accessing them legitimately when one forgets or loses the password? This is not a hypothetical question, as many people forget passwords they used just a week ago, let alone a year ago. Even more often, a new employee trying to open Office documents finds out that the passwords are not available.
The one essential tool that is missing from the Microsoft Office suite is a password recovery tool. Microsoft might have had legitimate reasons not to provide such tools, but the problem screams for a solution. Lost passwords can mean just a headache for absent-minded individuals, but can cause serious financial trouble for many organizations.
The demand is there, and the supply has followed. There is no lack of password recovery services and third-party software tools to handle password-protected documents. There are certain pros and cons to both approaches.
Password recovery services can do a great job, providing fast recovery of your lost passwords. But are they worth the price they charge, if you are a home user trying to unlock your year-old CV? And can you trust your corporate documentation to even reputable third parties? If the answer is negative, you are a potential user of dedicated software tools that work off-line on your own computer.
Such software can take longer to recover your passwords, but you won’t pay outrageous prices and you don’t share your trade secrets with a third party. And personal software is really not that slow! Chances are that your password can be recovered in an instant. You’ll be using the same software used by password recovery professionals but on your own computer.

Cisco CCNA Exam Tutorial: Route Summarization

Preparing to pass the CCNA exam and earn this important Cisco certification? Route summarization is just one of the many skills you’ll have to master in order to earn your CCNA. Whether it’s RIP version 2, OSPF, or EIGRP, the CCNA exam will demand that you can flawlessly configure route summarization.

Route summarization isn’t just important for the CCNA exam. It’s a valuable skill to have in the real world as well. Correctly summarizing routes can lead to smaller routing tables that are still able to route packets accurately – what I like to call “concise and complete” routing tables.

The first skill you’ve got to have in order to work with route summarization is binary math; more specifically, you must be able to take multiple routes and come up with both a summary route and mask to advertise to downstream routers. Given the networks 100.16.0.0 /16, 100.17.0.0 /16, 100.18.0.0 /16, and 100.19.0.0 /16, could you quickly come up with both the summary address and mask? All you need to do is break the four network numbers down into binary strings. We know the last two octets will all convert to the binary string 00000000, so in this article we’ll only illustrate how to convert the first and second octet from decimal to binary.

100 16 = 01100100 00010000

100 17 = 01100100 00010001

100 18 = 01100100 00010010
